Mayo has been cosplaying since 2009 and was the first representative for Sweden in international competitions such as Eurocosplay, Nordic Cosplay Championship, World Cosplay Summit and European Cosplay Gathering. Most recently, she came second in Polymanga Global Easter Cosplay 2024. She is also a seasoned cosplay judge and WCS proxy organizer for her country since 2016.

When creating costumes, Mayo likes to work with many materials, but mostly enjoys sewing and hand embroidery. In recent years, she has had a lot of fun making costumes from Genshin Impact.
